Program Objectives:


1) The Electronics and Communications Engineering Program at the Higher Institute of Technology aims to acquire students the following


2) Build the student strong background in basic science and basic mathematics and is able to use these tools in electronics and communications engineering


3) Cover the fields of integrated electronic circuits, electronic data storage, high-speed computing, communications, signal processing, microwave, wave propagation and antenna, optoelectronics, automation, automatic control and monitoring systems, circuit analysis, network analysis, digital signal processing, and microprocessors


4) Improve the student practical skills in handling and dealing with electronics and communication technology including the fabrication, characterization and installation of components, devices, and systems


5) Employ necessary techniques, hardware, and communication tools for modern engineering applications


6) Improve the student professional skills in presenting problems, contacting customers and suppliers, building internal and external relations and establishing business models. Graduates are careered into jobs including manufacturers of mobile phones, telephone centrals, computers, antenna and radar systems, industrial control, home appliances, biomedical engineering, networking companies, communication systems, and integrated circuits. Others have joined research groups in university and industry, the public service, and the teaching professions


7) Work in a multi-disciplinary environment, and follow and contribute to the developments in electronics and communications engineering recognizing the significance of lifelong learning
