Students from the Giza Higher Institute of Engineering participated in the Distinguished Families Competition for the Cairo region, hosted by the Al-Jazeera Higher Institute of Media and Communication Sciences from Sunday to Thursday, November 16-20, 2025, with the participation of 20 outstanding students in various activities.
The competition included a number of diverse events, including:
The ideal male and female student – chess – poetry and zajal – singing – religious chanting – dominoes – hymns. The chess, dominoes, poetry, chanting, hymns, and ideal student competitions were held in the halls of the host institute, while the football match was held on its field.
The students of the Giza Higher Institute of Engineering achieved outstanding results, with:
- Bilal Ahmed Ayoub winning first place in the dominoes competition.
- Ahmed Ibrahim Salah winning second place in chess.
- Aya Ramadan Kamel Al-Shimi winning third place in the ideal student competition.
The following students also participated in the pentathlon:
Ahmed Hijazi Mohamadi, Faris Walid, Amr Hassan, Hani Abdel Hafiz, Ehab Fathy, Amr El Sayed, Mahmoud El Sayed Farag, Mohamed Yasser Mohamed, Mostafa Maher Ashraf, Abdel Rahman Ayman, and Ammar Mohamed Issa.
The artistic and cultural competitions saw active participation from students, including:
- Abanoub Nasim Thabit in hymns.
- Adham Islam Ismail in religious chanting.
- Amir Hisham in the research workshop and ideal student competition.
- Bilal Ahmed Ayoub in dominoes and poetry.
- Ahmed Ibrahim Salah and Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed in chess.
- Aya Ramadan Kamel in the ideal student workshop.
This participation confirms the keenness of the Giza Higher Institute of Engineering to support its students and develop their skills in various cultural, sports, and artistic activities, as well as to promote a spirit of excellence and positive competition among them.
